BSNED’s Jediah Pastrana Wins English Week Quiz Bee

Wit, knowledge and mastery of the language were the stars as Jediah Pastrana of BSNED claimed first place in the Quiz Bee during the 2026 English Week celebration at City College of Calapan on September 15 at Kalap Hall.

Pastrana became the competition’s champion showing the knowledge and quick thinking that are needed to excel in the challenge.

The second-place honors were shared by Rhojay Shane Hife of BSIS and Ivan Justin Delos Santos of MATH, who finished in a tie adding another achievement to their respective institutes.

The competition was anchored on the theme "3Es: Express. Engage. Excel. Celebrating English Communication ". It highlighted the importance of language proficiency, confidence and intellectual excellence, among college students.

The achievements of the three contestants brought pride to their institutes celebrating not only their knowledge but also their dedication and determination to excel.
