Institute of Education Takes Top Spot in Spoken Poetry Competition

The Institute of Education was hailed champion in the Spoken Poetry Competition during Day 2 of the City College of Calapan Academic Day 2026, featuring different perspectives on pressing issues, particularly those concerning teachers and students.

‎Representing the institute, Sir Hanz Redoma and Mailyn Fortu delivered a powerful and meaningful performance that tackled current issues in the education sector. Their presentation highlighted the experiences and perspectives of both teachers and students, making their piece relevant to the audience.

‎Meanwhile, representatives from the different institutes also gave their best performances, showcasing their creativity, confidence, and ability to address important social and educational concerns through spoken poetry.

‎The competition became one of the highlights of Day 2, demonstrating that spoken poetry can be more than an artistic performance but it can also serve as a platform for expressing ideas, raising awareness, and giving voice to issues affecting the education community.
