DepEd Calapan City and CCC Strengthen Partnership for Future Teachers

The Schools Division of Calapan City and the City College of Calapan (CCC) renewed their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on August 28, 2026, at the Oriental Mindoro National High School (OMNHS).

The renewed partnership strengthens the implementation of the Practice Teaching Internship Program for pre-service teachers pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) major in Mathematics and Science and Special Needs Education (SNED).

Under the agreement, qualified pre-service teachers from CCC will be deployed to selected public schools within the Schools Division of Calapan City. The deployment will provide them with hands-on experience in actual classroom settings while receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced Department of Education (DepEd) teachers.

The program seeks to bridge the gap between classroom-based teacher education and actual teaching practice by allowing future educators to apply their academic knowledge, instructional strategies, and professional competencies in real learning environments.

The renewed partnership also underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen teacher preparation and develop future educators who are competent, well-equipped, and responsive to the diverse needs of learners.

Through sustained collaboration, DepEd Calapan City and City College of Calapan aim to contribute to the development of a pool of committed educators capable of delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

The MOA signing marks another step toward strengthening institutional collaboration and ensuring that aspiring teachers are better prepared to meet the demands and challenges of the teaching profession.
