Strengthening Partnerships for Community Development

The City College of Calapan, together with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calapan City, conducted a consultation meeting with City Administrator Angel Navarro to discuss the possibility of establishing an LGU-Academe Community Research Partnership. The meeting was held at the City Administrator's Office on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The consultation centered on creating a collaborative framework that will harness the expertise of the academe, the support of the local government, and the active participation of communities in addressing pressing local concerns through research and innovation.

By bridging research with real-world community needs, the initiative seeks to promote sustainable development, improve public services, and enhance the quality of life of the people of Calapan. This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the LGU and the City College of Calapan to foster meaningful collaborations that transform research into impactful actions for community empowerment and inclusive progress.
